Myofunctional Airway Specialist (MAS™)

Earning your MAS™ is a commitment, and that's why it's valuable. Have you started working with clients and have experience that's led to success? Great- you've finished the hardest part. Before you apply, make sure you meet all the following qualifications:

• A current and active dental hygiene license
• Open and active roster of myofunctional therapy cases
• Successful completion of the TeamMyo combination course, TeamMyo business course, or Airway Health Solutions Orofacial Myofunctional 2 Day Accredited Course

MAS™ is the certification credential for eligible licensed healthcare professionals who want to prove that in the field of orofacial myofunctional therapy they are the among the best and highly skilled in:

• Treatment planning: Developing individualized plans for each client that delivers optimal outcomes.
• Collaborative cases: Working as a part of an interdisciplinary team, knowing when to refer and why.
• Advanced knowledge: Able to troubleshoot difficult cases and navigate complex relationships.

Follow the 3 step process below to be on your way to achieving and maintaining your MAS™ certification:

1. APPLY to take the exam. Follow instructions sent through all alumni email to request and receive your certification exam.
2. COMPLETE the exam. The exam consists of multiple choice and essay form questions. Each applicant is given 6 months to complete and remit the exam. Successful completion leads to certification digital badge for your website, digital file of MAS™ certificate, and physical certificate.
3. MAINTAIN your certification. Engage in continuous professional development to retain certified MAS™ status.
